Each stem and leaf is carefully crafted by hand, taking over 40,000 hours of skill to create, offering the look of a living form suspended in space. Laura was informed by Beech tree leaves as the inspiration for the design, with intricate veining and broad oval leaves tapering to a fine, elegant point. The utmost care and attention to detail have been taken to replicate the gentle twists and turns of their branches and fine organic forms. The shape is perfectly proportioned, with a dense core splaying out to delicate billows of branches. The frame, delicate branches and leaves are forged fully from Antique Brass, their warm colour reminiscent of Autumn leaves. The piece is suspended from an antique brass chain. Subtle bulbs are evenly dispersed within its core, creating an inviting glow throughout. Also available in gold flecked glass leaves.
